![]() I run a full sized M&P 2.0 and SIG P-365XL if that plays into it. Does not work with the Rugged or Griffin 45ACP 3-lug. So how does the 45 in short compare to the 9 in short on 9mm handguns, from a sound perspective? Any comments on weight would be appreciated. Features closed and open-end spanners for piston and fixed mounts, the front cap and 9mm 3-lug mount. I want to run it on 450SMC but Rugged won't buy into that so I have not tried. ![]() So this may or may not help OP but assuming it might: I have an Obsidian 45 and love it in the short configuration on handguns (9mm) and love it in long configuration on 45ACP and 45 Super on my PCC. Mine is now used primarily on my pcc’s because of weight and built like a tank. In a class of its own, the Obsidian9 is nearly half its size in its short configuration, giving you two suppressors with one tax stamp. It is heavy in long configuration on a pistol. The Obsidian 9 is Ruggeds 9mm modular suppressor, featuring its ADAPT module that gives you the freedom to pick two different lengths in one suppressor. Rest assured that the Rugged Obsidian is a top performer on both pistol and subgun platforms in any configuration. Posted: 2:31:37 PM EDT 5 Im gonna go with a no on this. Rugged Obsidian 45 CALIBER: Full Auto Rated for Pistol Calibers up-to 45ACP and 300BLK Subsonic. Real world functionality can be very different that paper specs though and the Obsidian lives up to it's hype. Rugged Obsidian 9 CALIBER: Full Auto Rated for Pistol Calibers up-to 9mm and 300BLK Subsonic. I got an obsidian 9mm because it is shorter in k configuration than the 45. On paper, the Obsidian would appear to be comparable to other top end 9mm suppressors. If you want to reduce weight on handguns, it seems like a great choice. The new Thunderbeast Fly 9 meters similar to the Obsidian 9, but is all titanium so it is much lighter. ![]() If you always run full length, I'm not sure there is much benefit of getting the 9. The Rugged Obsidian9 is a modular pistol suppressor that can be configured between. In my opinion the benefit of the Obsidian 9 over the 45 is the shorter K configuration. ![]()
